Molecular Pathology Program, CNIO
Cancer therapy is quickly moving towards the design of novel and targeted drugs,
and some of
them are already in routine cancer clinical care or clinical trials. The search
for molecular markers
identifying patients that may benefit from these treatments is becoming an urgent
priority, and an
exciting area of research. The Molecular markers in cancer therapy: Present
Use and Future
Perspectives Symposium aims for the discussion of candidate mechanisms and markers
of drug
resistance and therapeutic efficacy.
Sessions
Targeting receptors and signal transduction; Proteosome inhibitors, apoptosis
and inflammation;
Epigenetic and transcriptional therapies, and DNA damaging agents and microtubules
